Meet LinkNyc, the company behind the project that is trying to make New York City more wireless friendly for its residents and visitors.
The project has been announced on November 17,
2014 and it is planned to install around 7,500 Wi-Fi kiosk over the city.
Until now about 400 kiosk has been installed on different locations in the city and over 475,000 New Yorkers and visitors are using them.
These kiosk contain tablets that are running on Android System and includes features, like accessing maps, charging your phone and even making phone calls via earphones for more privacy.
But due to misusing from different people of these kiosks, LinkNYC announced that they will be terminating internet access from tablets, allowing only options like accessing maps, charging your phone etc…
